 Worked on a reporting engine, that VISA catered to different organizations within a company. Visa had customers that was world wide. A site was maintained that helped the financial customers as well as companies in different regions to selectively get the status of commercial and business visa cards that were given to employees, in a monthly, quarterly and semi-annually basics. This site was very handy and was extensively used by large companies in different regions. I was extensively involved in seeing that the business requirements met up with the product that was developed in Austin. I was extensively involved in the writing and providing the best quality and reliability of the on line site.

 Designed and developed application using IBM Websphere, that followed the MVC   architecture. This application was developed using struts, jsp and java technologies in WSAD environment.
 
 Summary:  
 The  application was a reporting engine that displayed reports on the fly and could be scheduled to run daily, weekly and monthly. 
 
 My Role: 
 Designing the work flow and data flow in addition to the development that went into it. Used javascript and jsp for displaying the GUI interface(View) and the model, control of the application was done using struts action class, that interfaced with the oracle database.

 Worked in Customer Care in developing and maintaining web sites that caters to customers’ registration of HP products via an online web registration process.
 
 Role: 
 Designed, developed and tested API that was built using J2EE and CORBA technology for enabling standard based interoperability and connectivity for a distributed application. These were clients that made RMI calls to the API that were written in JAVA. Also took the initiative to demonstrate that the whole application could also be web enabled by
 using BEA’s WLS server. Also was involved in system testing the whole application using advanced tools like LoadRunner, Silk Test to get the overall performance of the system.

 Role: 
 Developed and implemented API to the database using J2EE programming language.  Developed and implemented CORBA service. Also implemented connection pooling to handle large amount of data movement into the database. The product went live in October 98 and has been in production since that time. In addition to the above, installed and administered Oracle database 8.0.4.0.5 and built the schema. Tested the above application using SilkTest to test the functionality, cross operating system and browser testing, regression testing. Working knowledge of Verisign.
