Solvay acquisition Integration Project

Working as Finance Team lead with project team responsible for integrating Abbott Systems with the Solvay (a company which Abbott recently acquired) systems. Work involved understanding the Solvay business processes/ IT systems ( mainly SAP ) , designing custom programs in SAP for reporting to Abbott Head Quarters , designing interfaces with Abbott SAP/HR systems and synchronization of Finance master data between Abbott SAP system and Solvay SAP system
Global Harmonization Project and blue printing for new SAP environment

Business process modeling and redesign , Stakeholder Management - guide others through process change and obtain buy-in ,Understanding technology and recommending when and how to use it to solve business problems and/or improve business processes, eliciting and developing system requirements , Designing instance strategy for SAP system for global implementation, Blue printing of new SAP environment based on common agreed business processes/requirements in the area of New GL/Profit Center Accounting/Asset Accounting/Product Costing /COPA /AP(PTP) and AR (OTC)

Also worked as Project Manager from Aug, 2008 onwards for timely execution of Project and handled all Project Management activities.

Guidant Acquisition Integration Project

Worked as Finance Team lead with project team responsible for integrating Abbott Systems with the Guidant (Abbott acquired Vascular business from Boston Scientific) systems. The work involved working with Basis team to carve out data related to Guidant company codes from the Boston Scientifics’ SAP System database, and bringing Guidant on Abbott’s shared service AP processes/systems( custom development for new interfaces/ programs ) .
