These systems were package systems created by SAS and Computer Associates written in COBOL II included Cists, CICS and used VSAM file. Some applications used Oracle COBOL for file Processing. Also did Year 2000 changes to Accounts payable, Audit reporting, and Year End Reporting. Farmers Insurance 06/1997 - 08/1998 Senior Contract Programmer Analyst Duties were to provide QA Production support for the HOME and AUTO policy processing system. These included the printing of Insurance Documents; refund Checks, and assembling of Insurance policies for two data centers. Some other duties were to create reports for conversions, recreate missing policies, and be primary on-call person for both HOME and AUTO policy processing. I supported batch printing of insurance documents on the mainframe using DOCUMERGE software and AION DS to test each instance. Corrected endorsements document and uploaded finished document to the mainframe for Printing and insertion of documents. Built PROCS, JCL, documentation, balanced daily activities, fixed abends, and created user defined reports using COBOL II and CLIST. Used ENDEVOR to update production system and used Smartest for debugging applications. Great Western Bank / Washington Mutual Bank 01/1997 - 11/1997 Senior Contract Programmer Analyst Duties were to provide support for the Sales Tracking System, design batch programs in COBOL II for Sales Reporting, and create programs for correction process used for incentive payment processing. Created VSAM files from extracts of HOGAN IMS files. Other duties were to modify JCL, provide download files for Microsoft Excel, and provide production support for the Sales Tracking system. These systems operated in a MVS environment using COBOL II, VSAM, IMS DB/DC, and HOGAN systems Kaiser Permanent Hospital 11/1996 - 01/1997 Senior Contract Programmer Analyst Provided support for the Medical Records Reporting system. Some duties were to create batch programs to do download to the Microsoft Access 95 system on the LAN and create DB2 tables for the batch and CICS applications. Used XCOM software to trigger mainframe jobs that extracted data and automatically load the LAN system. Created Microsoft Access programs, tables, and reports to be used by many different divisions.
